7th and 8th Graders have NO HOMEWORK this week. We are celebrating El día de los muertos, and spending time discussing culture in class.
7th Graders: Looking ahead, you will have your first test on Friday, November 18th. This test will include vocabulary about greetings, goodbyes, conversational questions and phrases, days of the week, months, seasons, and numbers 0-100. Plan ahead! Here is the quizlet to use to study.

Learning a foreign language can be, well foreign. In Spanish class, we not only take class notes, use our iPads for Quizlet interactive flashcards and activities, but we also incorporate movement and songs to remember our vocabulary words. This last strategy is called Kinesthetic Learning.
The definition is as follows, “A kinesthetic-tactile learning style requires that you manipulate or touch material to learn. Kinesthetic-tactile techniques are used in combination with visual and/or auditory study techniques, producing multi-sensory learning.” (houghton.edu)
7th Graders are currently learning the days of the week, months of the year, and numbers 0-100 in Spanish. Using songs and movement have drastically improved students’ memorization of these vocabulary words. Take a peek for yourself!
