La Tarea: Week of 2/10 – 2/14

Hola,

7th and 8th graders have NO written homework this week that will be counted toward their homework average.

Instead, they should make sure their binders are organized and in the correct chronological order for their ongoing binder checks this week, which will count as a quiz grade.

Students will also NOT have any homework over the February Vacation.

– Ms. Mirabella

P.S. Enjoy Your February Break!

Snow Day Updates 2/5/14 (7th and 8th grades)

Hola chicos y chicas,
I am sure you are enjoying your day off, and hopefully got to sleep in a little bit longer!

As promised, I am updating to fill you in on how the rest of the week will go in Spanish class.

7th graders:
7C — As we talked about, today’s lesson would have been just another review assignment and we would have gone over the test format. Instead, I posted the test format on the blog, and I would like for you to please review it as you study tonight and tomorrow night. Yes, you will STILL have your test this Friday 2/7.
7A — This snow day did not impact your class, as we would have not met anyway today. Start studying and we will complete a small review assignment tomorrow and possible have an independent study to give you a head start on reviewing for the test Friday.
7B — We will play Jeopardy tomorrow, as well as go over the test format. Your class will also STILL take the test Friday.
** All 7th grade classes should review quizzes (this is where I get test questions!), homework assignments, quia activities and vocab flashcards, and any class notes. E-mail me with any questions!
HERE IS THE BLOG POST WITH THE TEST FORMAT

8th graders:
8B — Tomorrow, we will check off folded papers, go over definitions, and begin our movie. If anyone willingly wants to gets their binder check over with before the weekend, I will take a look and grade them during the movie. If not, the rest will be graded next Monday and Tuesday during class as we finish the film.
8A — Tomorrow, you will switch your “teal” textbooks for the “navy” colored edition. SO BRING YOUR TEXTBOOK FROM HOME TO SCHOOL TOMORROW!!!! Once you have your new book after giving me the old book, you have the class period to start your p.254 folded paper. You can also use this time to get your binder organized, as you already have the binder check guide. Folded papers are due Friday, and binder checks will start then as well.
8C — Tomorrow, you will also switch your “teal” textbooks for the “navy” colored edition. SO BRING YOUR TEXTBOOK FROM HOME TO SCHOOL TOMORROW!!!! Once you have your new book after giving me the old book, you have the class period to start your p.254 folded paper. You can also use this time to get your binder organized, and I will hand out to you a binder check guide, which has a list of all items in an “A” binder in chronological order. Folded papers are due Friday, and binder checks will start then as well.

Hope this helps! E-mail me if you have any other questions!
Ms. Mirabella
